Location:

Ashland LIbrary, 410 Siskiyou Blvd, Ashland, OR

“Hanley Family Adventures,” a tale of travels by Ed Hanley, Ella Hanley, and their nieces will be presented by Pat Harper for the July 2017 Windows in Time series. Not content to remain in Oregon, Ed Hanley made his fortune through his partnership with the more famous Jack Dalton in Alaska. Ella moved to Chile with her husband, Harry P. Bush. The Hanley sisters, Mary, Martha and Claire, never lived overseas, but took an adventurous trip to Guatemala in 1949.

Join Pat Harper, Archivist for Southern Oregon Historical Society, in her exploration of the Hanley photographs, postcards, letters and documents that chronicle their lives in distant places.
