Olson-Lawyer is no longer using one of its wigwam burners, made possible by the start of particle board production in area plants. The burner is being used as a silo to store shavings. Special equipment designed and installed by Medford Steel and Blowpipe divides the burner into two sections, one for Douglas fir, the other for white fir. The airplane on display is the Navy version of the Lockheed Electra L-188 airliner, the P-3 Orion anti-submarine and surveillance craft. The boom on the tail was used for magnetic detection of submarines.
